Meredith Williams, MPH

Senior Principal

Meredith Williams is a Senior Principal at Atlas Research. Ms. Williams has 25 years of experience managing national health education initiatives, public awareness campaigns, and grantee technical assistance programming on issues such as substance abuse, mental health, HIV, healthcare provider outreach, cardiovascular health,  childhood education and health services, and veterans’ health for multiple federal agencies. 

Ms. Williams recently led the strategic planning, content development and launch for the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration’s national education initiative to increase provider treatment with the opioid epidemic, especially among rural communities, and launched a national suicide prevention multimedia campaign. She also coordinated a digital strategy and community management approach for a cabinet-level federal agency, using data analytics to increase audience reach. Her work includes designing results-oriented communication strategies, message platforms, branding programs, content development for multimedia platforms including social media channels, community and partnership engagement, media outreach, campaign analytics, and managing online communities to support information exchange and dissemination. Meredith has produced award-winning TV and radio PSA campaigns, digital marketing and content management, promotional products including infographics, factsheets, policy briefs, and journal publications. 

Prior to joining Atlas, Ms. Williams served as an Executive Vice President at a Washington, DC-based public relations firm and earlier in her career with research and management consulting firms. Meredith holds an MPH from George Washington University and a BA from Purdue University. She served as an adjunct professor teaching health communication and marketing coursework at the George Washington University Milken School of Public Health.
