Atlas Research Supports Honor Flight Veterans

March 23, 2010

Atlas Research employees attended the March kickoff event for Honor Flight, a non-profit organization created to honor America’s Veterans. Four hundred World War II (WWII) Veterans were flown to Washington, DC, to view a screening of HBO’s new miniseries The Pacific. Veterans also visited Washington memorials honoring their service and sacrifice.

Atlas Research employees waved American flags and greeted Veterans arriving at Reagan National Airport, thanking them for their service to the country. Those attending included Senior Vice President John Gilmore, Vice President of Project Management Jeff Baetz, Senior Consultant Jill Steinkogler, and four Research Associates: Ellen Badger, Sara Cherico, Natalie Grigorian, and Leslie Rice.

“This is a special opportunity to honor our Veterans and thank them for the sacrifices they’ve made,” said Grigorian after welcoming Calvin Double, the first Veteran to step off the plane.

“It was a privilege to meet the service members I have read so much about,” said Cherico. “The Veterans seemed so appreciative of the many people who came out to pay tribute.”
