Atlas Research Donates Food and Clothing to DC Area Homeless Veterans

January 28, 2010

Hundreds of Homeless Veterans received winter coats and boots today at the Winterhaven Stand Down at the Washington, DC U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Medical Center. Atlas Research staff purchased coats, boots, and granola bars for Veterans attending the event.

This annual event, where Atlas staff have supported and volunteered for years, provides homeless Metropolitan Area Veterans with access to health care, employment assistance, housing support, and other essential services.

“We want to show these Veterans that they have not been forgotten in our community,” said Atlas Vice President Jeff Baetz, who led the philanthropic effort.  "Nobody should be without a warm coat in winter months, and this is our small way of saying thank you for their service."

Atlas Research, a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), is a proud supporter of the Winterhaven Stand Down and other events honoring Veterans and Service Members.
