Atlas Conducts Youth Social Media Study for the National Institute on Drug Abuse

April 16, 2018

Atlas Research recently supported the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) by conducting a facilitated discussion with youth between the ages of 10 and 13 to learn about how they talk and think about social media. Researchers partnered with a community-based organization that had access to racially and ethnically diverse youth between the ages of 10 and 13 years old to recruit, screen, and host a discussion. They designed a parental consent form and discussion guide, facilitated the discussion, and submitted a summary of the key feedback from the discussion. Findings will inform future adolescent studies conducted by NIDA.
