Residents of rural communities face unique challenges in obtaining affordable, readily accessible, quality health care.  Those living in remote areas tend to have fewer medical resources available to them to address routine and emergency care.

Atlas is nationally recognized for its technical expertise and leadership in rural health and rural Veterans health issues.  Our experience includes health care strategic planning and management for clients, providing health program advisory services, and conducting research and evaluation. 

The VA Capitol Health Care Network partnered with Atlas for technical support of a portfolio of 12 rural health programs, including rehabilitative services, transportation services, homeless Veteran outreach, provider education, marketing strategies, and women’s health.  Atlas is also working with the National Rural Health Resource Center to develop a plan to enhance coordination and streamline community hospice services for rural Veterans in the VA Midwest Health Care Network.
