Kyungsun Suh

Kyungsun ("K") Suh, PhD, is Vice President of Clinical Research with Atlas Research. Dr. Suh has extensive experience in biomedical and translational research, and management and execution of biomedical research programs that encompass bioscience knowledge, biomedical research technology, and data management with leadership roles for feasibility, designing, monitoring, and data analysis.

Dr. Suh's responsibilities include the development and management of a clinical research portfolio, medical and scientific communications, scientific solutions for clients, strategic planning support, and exploration of new professional services practice areas. He manages research grants and contracts in collaboration with academic partners and other organizations, executes sponsored research, manages a team of researchers across scientific and therapeutic areas, and develops scientific and medical writing for peer-reviewed publications.

Dr. Suh has conducted bio-clinical research in neurodegenerative diseases and developmental biology at Columbia University, Rockefeller University, Burke Rehabilitation Hospital/Weill Medical School of Cornell University, and Marine Biological Laboratory in Woods Hole, utilizing major frontier research technologies in biomedical research areas. He has also managed information systems in the application for staffing, documents, technologies, and procedures; assessed quality policies and procedures; evaluated technical feasibility and recommendations of venues at experimental research and operational levels; and provided guidelines for compliance with regulatory requirements for internal and external monitoring agencies. He has served as a panelist for Best Practices in Research Laboratory on bio-hazard materials and coordinated and facilitated a Drug Discovery Consortium.

Dr. Suh has received national research awards and presented his research findings at cell biology and neuroscience conferences. He is a member of Society for Neuroscience and has published numerous peer-reviewed scientific articles.

Dr. Suh received his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Texas at Austin with a major in biological science, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy degree in biomedical science from Columbia University. His dissertation research concentrated on molecular mechanisms of processing of a viral protein. He completed post-doctoral training in molecular neuroscience at Rockefeller University in New York.
