Dorie Hightower

Dorie Hightower is an award-winning communications specialist, with a rich background in strategic planning and message development, media relations, and content creation. She has managed press conferences, written press releases, produced podcasts and videos, and has gained coverage for her clients in major national magazines, newspapers and broadcast outlets.

Ms. Hightower has served as a communications specialist and consultant with government agencies, private firms, and nonprofit organizations.  She was a communications director and public affairs specialist at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for over a decade, where she received three NIH Plain Language Awards, which recognize excellence in clear and effective communication.

Her early career began in television reporting and production for television stations in Norfolk, Virginia and Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She holds a B.A. in Communications from Adelphi University in New York.
