November is National Family Caregiver Month, and to show our appreciation for our nation’s Military Caregivers, Atlas Research and Easter Seals will present two webinars this month – one for English speakers and one for Spanish speakers.
The first will be an English-language webinar hosted by the National Alliance for Caregiving (NAC) titled Caregiving as an Older Adult. Featured speakers President of NAC Gail Hunt and Dole Fellow Rosie Babin of Texas will discuss the biggest challenges faced by older adults caring for their family member or friend who has served in the military.
Caregiving as an Older Adult will take place on November 5, 2015 at 2PM EST. Registration is now open.
The second webinar entitled Beyond the Blues: When Sadness Becomes Depression/Más Allá del desconsuelo: Cuando la tristeza se convierte en Depresión features speaker Julio C. Rojas, MD, PhD, who will provide practical support for Caregivers experiencing sadness or depression. The webinar also features Dole Fellow, Edna Dumas of Puerto Rico and staff support from the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Caregiver Program.
