Atlas Research Partners with Rainmakers Strategic Solutions to win CMS MIDS IDIQ Contract

September 3, 2018

Atlas Research, with small business partner Rainmakers Strategic Solutions, was awarded an Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract to support the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) “Measure and Instrument Development and Support” (MIDS) program. The contract will fund a variety of initiatives to promote quality of health care in the United States over the next five years, with an additional five-year option period. The team is one of 31 contract awardees to win a place on the MIDS IDIQ.

“Atlas is committed to providing health care solutions for the federal government and we are excited to work in the MIDS arena,” said Atlas President and CEO Robin Portman. “We look forward to bringing our research expertise and innovation to make a difference in the delivery of quality health care.”

The CMS MIDS program evaluates care by developing, testing, implementing, and reporting health care quality measures, providing the basis for ongoing improvement. CMS will utilize this contract mechanism to develop, implement, and align measures that fill critical gaps for quality priorities. These include measures relating to clinical quality of care, care coordination, population/community health, safety, person- and caregiver-centered experience and outcomes, and efficiency and cost reduction.
