Atlas Research representatives attended the National Institutes of Health's (NIH) first Reverse Industry Day earlier this month. Hosted by the Professional Services Council, the event offered an opportunity for NIH acquisition staff to engage with industry to improve awareness of industry capture/proposal practices and industry perception/response to some common NIH acquisition practices.
Atlas Senior Principal Michael Austin participated with other industry leaders on a panel designed to improve NIH acquisition team understanding of the importance of debriefs to industry and to share strategies for effective and information-rich conversations.
“This Reverse Industry Day was a remarkable opportunity to improve collegial engagement between industry and NIH," said Mr. Austin. "When industry and the Government work together, both parties can have a greater understanding of the Government’s needs resulting in better tailored proposals that more precisely match the Government’s cost estimates.”
