Supporting VA Mobile Health Application Development for Veterans and Clinicians

Challenge

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Connected Health Office (CHO) provides mobile devices, software, and services to both Veterans and those that provide care to Veterans. There are a substantial number of new mobile health applications and services added to CHO’s portfolio as well as numerous changes being made to existing mobile health applications and shared services. As a result, CHO requires support implementing updated Secretary’s priorities, business realignment goals, technology refreshments, and updates to VA enterprise legacy systems.

Solution

VA CHO contracted Atlas Research, in conjunction with FEi Systems, a leading technology, services, and analysis organization, to provide clinical knowledge management to improve the design and development of mobile health applications. By reviewing user preferences and ensuring that human-centered design concepts are employed, Atlas Research will use project management and clinic management expertise to support and enhance Connected Health mobile application development.

Result

Atlas Research expertise improves Veteran and staff access to usable mobile health applications by applying subject matter expertise from clinical operations and business operations to the design and deployment of the applications.
