Leadership & Experience
Atlas Research’s experience in strategic planning, program development, and performance measurement is broad and deep. The team brings significant methodological expertise and extensive knowledge in evaluating health care programs and services.  Atlas also employs a full menu of strategies to assist clients in designing, implementing, and refining practices to establish effective project management structures.

Atlas has significant past performance with strategic planning engagements at the national, regional, state, and community levels, most notably within the Department of Veterans Affairs environment.  Atlas assisted in the establishment of VA’s Office of Rural Health through our work with the Policy and Planning Group.  The project team played an integral role in developing and managing 74 rural health projects, and in designing a rural health performance metrics system to evaluate program outcomes.

Atlas has also partnered with Joint Commission Resources in supporting health care systems efforts to improve quality of care through VA’s National Continuous Survey Readiness (CSR) contract.  Atlas consultants inform and train VA staff on Joint Commission standards, survey processes, national patient safety goals, core quality measures, and disease specific certifications; provide consultations on standards compliance and best practices; and organize advisory groups to strengthen CSR activities.

Atlas is dedicated to improving understanding and compliance with accreditation standards and processes.  Beyond the primary goal of accreditation for health care facilities, we are committed to building meaningful and enduring relationships with facilities to ensure patients benefit from the highest of health care standards.
