Project Manager

Project Managers leads and manages medium and large-scale projects with complex requirements, mentors and collaborates with other project managers and support staff. provide oversight, management and integration of program controls across their assigned project(s). Assist with directing and coordinating technical and program issues, establishing objectives, developing requirements, establishing schedules, estimating costs, developing budgetary controls, monitoring technical aspects of contracts, and monitoring contractors performance.

The project manager works with Atlas Research Operations Staff and project staff to define project scopes, set priorities, develop and manage project/program plans, track issues and resolution, manage project implementations, and overseeing all aspects of the assigned project. Integral to the success of this position is positive interaction with clients, project staff, internal corporate partners, management, and third party contractors/vendors to ensure effective management and momentum of assigned Atlas engagements. In addition, project managers will establish and maintain effective professional work relationships to help integrate key processes, methods, and technologies to streamline workflow and improve operations as appropriate.

Responsibilities
Position may include responsibility for setting objectives, participating in performance appraisals, assigning and prioritizing work, establishing and maintaining quality, quantity and timeliness of work, coaching, mentoring, managing and motivating assigned staff, including, Associates and Senior Consultants. Specific key functions include:
  • Define requirements.
  • Proactively provide innovative and practical solutions to problem areas.
  • Write planning documentation such as acquisition plans, source selection plans, program management plans, and risk management plans.
  • Facilitate, write and brief Statements of Work (SOWs), Award Fee Plans and Award Fee Briefs.
  • Develop and maintain a schedule and status of all acquisitions/contracts.
  • Review and analyze cost, schedule and performance data and provide recommendations.
  • Assess and mitigate risk in on active projects.
  • Create and maintain project-staffing plans.
  • Monitor established project budgets.
  • Successful management of client and vendor relationships.
  • Design and implement plans to transition projects to appropriate client leadership.
  • Manage and participate in development of standardize processes specific to the company and their assigned project(s).
  • Ability to manage priorities across multiple teams/projects and possesses the ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment. Ability to work well independently

  • Proficiency with MS Office software to include Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, and Outlook
Requirements
This position requires a BS or equivalent and 7 years of related experience or MS or equivalent and 5 years of related experience or PhD and 3 year of significant experience in an established consulting company, hospital, or health care system. Expert level project management skills are required; PMP certification beneficial and preferred.
