Helping the VA Workforce Stay Informed About and Engaged in myVA

Challenge

The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is undertaking an organizational change management effort, called myVA, which “puts the Veterans in control of how, when, and where they wish to be served.”  To accelerate the adoption and successful implementation of the myVA transformation, VA needs a communications and engagement plan to strategically expand employee awareness, understanding, and support of the myVA transformation and, in the process, enhance the reputation of VA as a trusted and effective source of support for America’s Veterans.

Solution

Atlas Research is helping VA develop a robust and integrated myVA communications capability to ensure that VA’s workforce and stakeholders are aware of the myVA transformation elements and their vital roles in making myVA changes happen. Atlas’ activities focus on: 1) analyzing existing communications/engagement infrastructure and planning an internal communications and engagement plan; 2) enabling leaders to communicate by providing training and tools to engage employees; 3) engaging employees directly by developing employee engagement and recognition/reward strategies; and 4) defining metrics for success.
