Jeff Baetz

Jeffrey A. Baetz is a Vice President at Atlas Research. Mr. Baetz is a certified project management professional and holds a green belt in Lean Six Sigma (LSS) principles from Georgetown University. He has more than 10 years of experience providing strategic oversight and management services to the private/public sectors. Mr. Baetz is adept at providing analytical and strategic solutions to complex regulatory, policy, and health care challenges. In addition, he is responsible for programmatic, project management, and organizational development activities for company clients.

Mr. Baetz has managed a number of health equity programs for the VA Capitol HealthCare Network (VISN 5) designed to improve the access and availability of VA healthcare services for rural and homeless Veterans. Teams led by Mr. Baetz have delivered tailored health solutions in the following core service areas: women Veterans' health; rural health transportation; marketing and communication of VA service offerings; and integration of specific, and needed, health services in rural community-based outpatient clinics (e.g., physical and occupational health services). Additionally, Mr. Baetz oversees case management services provided to homeless Veterans at the Washington, DC VA Medical Center and manages a research program investigating novel treatment options for Veterans suffering from Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).

Prior to joining Atlas Research, Mr. Baetz served as a Vice President for a life sciences and regulatory firm in Washington, DC, Becker and Associates Consulting, Inc. His activities at Becker and Associates included: analysis of complex regulatory/policy challenges; development of regulatory strategies for innovative products; preparation of regulatory submissions; assistance with pre-clinical and clinical programs; assistance with unique U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval challenges; preparation for FDA meetings and advisory panels; post-marketing product stewardship, including risk management programs; due diligence for investments and acquisitions; litigation support; critical review of scientific data and regulatory policy; and preparation of reports on health-related topics.

Mr. Baetz has served as a U.S. correspondent for both the Regulatory Affairs Journal-Pharma and the Regulatory Affairs Journal-Devices, and has published on several FDA regulatory and policy issues.

Mr. Baetz holds a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from the University of Virginia. He obtained his PMP certification from the Project Management Institute in 2011 and received a green belt in LSS principles from Georgetown University in 2012.
