Stephen Tregear has joined Atlas Research as Vice President of Research and Evaluation. Dr. Tregear will utilize his extensive management and research experience to lead projects within Atlas’ Advancing Priority Populations portfolio, including work on systematic reviews and quantitative data analysis.
Dr. Tregear has served in a variety of consulting roles for government clients. Most recently, he was a task lead for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), leading an effort to improve patient safety in hospitals across the country. He has significant experience in data management and analysis, project management, and business development; and he has overseen major contracts, surveillance programs, and research projects with the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS).
Dr. Tregear’s research, including work on the use of home-HIV testing kits for high risk populations, has been featured in peer-reviewed articles; and much of that research has been with the CDC or the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

Dr. Tregear has a Bachelor’s of Science in Neurology and a Doctorate in Philosophy from the University of Sussex.
