Atlas Research Sponsors National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic

March 27, 2017

Atlas Research is a proud sponsor of the 31st annual National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic, March 26-31 in Snowmass, Colorado. Co-hosted by the Disabled American Veterans (DAV) and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), the Clinic is the largest adaptive event of its kind, providing nearly 400 Veterans with a diverse range of training, from skiing and snowboarding to rock climbing, wheelchair fencing, and amputee volleyball.

The event is organized for disabled Veterans with spinal cord injuries, amputations, neurological disorders, and visual impairments, and the experience is designed to improve physical well-being, mental health, and self-esteem, enabling Veterans with profound disabilities to re-discover life. The National Disabled Veterans Winter Sports Clinic has positively impacted the lives of thousands of disabled Veterans and helped to alter the public perception of the disabled. Participation is open to military Veterans with qualifying disabilities who receive care at VA medical facilities.

“Atlas Research has a long-standing commitment to improving the health and well-being of Veterans,” said Mark H. Chichester, President of Atlas Research. “It is an honor for us to support this worthy and life-impacting event.” Volunteers from Atlas Research will be on hand in Snowmass, to support Veteran participation in Nordic and Alpine skiing, rock climbing, scuba diving, sled hockey, target shooting, and snowmobiling.
