Atlas Research has received an award to continue working with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Minority Health (OMH) National Partnership for Action to End Health Disparities (NPA) to support and update the implementation strategy for NPA. CommonHealth ACTION is a subcontractor partner on the project.
Specifically, Atlas and CommonHealth ACTION will continue to assist OMH by supporting and sustaining implementation at the state, regional, national, and federal levels; coordinating and streamlining the implementation-related activities of OMH and various contractors; and documenting and sharing implementation successes, challenges, and lessons learned.
Atlas Team members assisted OMH during the first five years of the NPA implementation contract in moving from a conceptual approach to a concrete and actionable implementation strategy that energizes, engages, and builds capacity of stakeholders at the national, regional, state, and local levels. The complexity and persistence of health disparities requires an approach grounded in public and political will for change, combined with cross-system collaboration.
