Health Information Technology (HIT) is increasingly viewed as one of the most promising tools for improving the overall quality, safety, and efficiency of the delivery system.  Atlas offers a unique combination of health care expertise and strategic partnerships with leading HIT systems integrators to improve the implementation of HIT, as well as promote its meaningful use.

The Atlas team has engaged in a number of noteworthy HIT projects that demonstrate our expertise in this sphere.  We’ve developed a tool used to monitor emergency department capacity across multiple health systems, for the Department of Health and Human Services.  We also developed a web-based social networking tool for the South Central VA Health Care Network to connect rural health care providers.

Our experts have served in various roles with leading organizations promoting HIT, including the eHealth Initiative, the National eHealth Collaborative, the American Health Information Community, the HIMSS’ Institute for e-Health Policy, and the American Telemedicine Association.
